I'm refering to the hardware on the system. As when the Xbox came out - most people used modems, while in ONLY had an either net connection. The Xbox One has a Gigabit Ethernet. The PS4's intenet connection at max, can only do 1/10 Ethernet (10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX) Granted most people don't have that fast an internet (yet). But if Google Fiber keeps expanding that may change. http://fiber.google.com/about/ But yes, if you only have something like a 30mb/s internet doesn't matter. |
Actually, the PS4 has 10/100/1000 Ethernet, so using 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX and 1000BASE-T.

Even the PS3 has Gigabit Ethernet, which is what the Xbox One has.
