Sadly that's true.
Catholics are trying to collect enough signatures for a referendum that would define marriage as a union between one man and one woman here. The funny thing is that a referendum question itself is unconstitutional lol Since our constitution forbids discrimination based on sexual orientation (among other things) so even if they collect signatures (I actually think they did) our current government said that they'll ask Constitutional Court for their opinion since the referendum question is part of civil freedoms to which all citizens are entitled.
