Honestly, personally, I don't have too much of a problem with it. I would change my buying habits, and be much less likely to risk buying a game I wasn't sure I'd like. Instead of buying cheap used, I'd wait longer for a price cut on new software. I do some trading, but probably less than 25% of the games I buy go back to the store, but I guess the money back from those would decrease my buying further.

I can see how the online requirement absolutely sucks for people with poor/no internet, and for those who do a lot of trade ins, but it's unlikely to prevent me from gaming. Just slow down my purchasing of console games.
