Skydrive - Sony have their own cloud storage service and they will make others patners for that too. Windows - Windows kernel better for multitasking? Sorry but it is worst than Linux and Mac OSX (BSD based) for multitasking... Sony will use a OS with BSD kernel and I can't see worst multitasking here... but I agree Windows have better UI but Sony can put a good UI over BSD too. Azure - That is yet uncertain over the cloud services... Sony bought Gaikai for nothing? Kinect 2.0 - That is really better than PSEye. |
Some valid points...however:
Sony may have a Skype app for PS4 but it will not be integrated in to gaming like on the xbox. If you have to launch the skype app to talk to a buddy seperatly from the game, its a moot point.
Another Windows kernel major advantage is app development. They can make an app for Windows 8, Windows Phone 8 and Xbox One in one Swoop.
Azure and Gaikai are not even close to each other in terms their capabilities. Azure can do stuff Gaikai does (game streaming)...don't forget OnLive uses Azure for streaming. But Gaikai can not do cloud hosting and computing like Azure. Nothing currently can compete with Azure in terms of speed and reliability except Amazon S3 hosting.
