Sony or not it's probably the last gen with physical media.... and for me it's already one too many gen.... I can't stand that pile of craptastic plastic box.... versatile disk is probably the worst memory support since the punch card....
And the fee model is one that will attract rev and that will be adopted sooner or later across the board it's already happening anyway same goes with the always on.... get use to it... it will be more and more like that and it's a good thing whether you see it or not.... it will actually cut cost for everybody from the revs down to the customer... the only one that will lose money and it's still not a given are the middle man.... but the less packaging you have the less intermediary you have the more direct revenue to the devs the less it will cost for the end user for new games which is the bottom line for the industry....
