When you sell them a game the "delete game X from profile Y in console Z" command is ordered, but it cannot reach your console until it goes online.

I dont think they released every detail of this new system. Im pretty sure your going to have to uninstall the game before selling it. It has to be connected before you can sell it to gamestop. Something needs to be wiped from the account when you sell the game back.
