This is a software feature that can be implemented at any future date. The hardware already being compliant with the patent. There is absolutely nothing to stop them from spying on you, and using that information to cause you harm. They can record private conversations, record your private moments, record your viewing habits, and document all online communications. Even if they say they wont as I indicated above. They reserve the right to change their mind, and seeing as their console can't run offline. Even if you find out that they are some point down the line. The only real option you will have is to throw away the machine.
There needs to be limits to brand loyalty. This isn't a line you should be crossing. No matter what they are offering.
