I have no idea. The HDMI in port will not be behind the pay wall, any guide or other data in an overlay probably is.
Skype, pretty sure that won't work. And will there still be a basic messaging system without gold.

I don't see the point of the HDMI in port anyway. As far as I know it can't record from it (my cable provider wouldn't allow that anyway) And I have everything switched through an amplifier, connecting the cable pvr to the xbox one makes no sense.
Now if it had 4 hdmi in ports and could do the switching with picture in picture / side by side for different inputs, yes please. But 1? useless.
