I think its a smart move by sony from a consumer standpoint.. In my case i wont be able to afford a PS4 at launch, and I m a fan of racing genre.. though i would love to try out DriveClub on PS4 but till the time i get a PS4, I can play GT6 on my PS3.. and I m pretty sure this will b the case with majority of the 77 mil user base.. who wouldn't be upgrading instantly..
Even if PS4 manages to sell 10 mill in a year there will still be 67 mill PS3 who wouldn't have migrated to ps4 and GT6 too would have been in the market for a year.. so i think company and consumer both of them will benefit
