What are Sony and Microsoft thinking? I seriously don't understand. The Wii U has backwards compatibility with games and controllers. But it is a piece of crap. Why? It is not truly next gen.

And now they are trying to tell me what a truly next gen console is.

I just saw  the same things of the actual generation (or worse) and lots of things unrelated with gaming.

Now I think the Wii U is awesome. Hell even the OUYA is starting to look good.

But seriously the best you can do is buy a gaming PC instead of the PS4 or the Xbox One.

Tell me I am wrong and why

Your arguement makes no sense. Ok, you complain about people not treating/acknowledging the Wii U as a next gen console. So why on earth would you only use last gen games (BC) and last gen accessories as your only point as to why Wii U is next gen?

Technically you are right in the fact that people shouldn't be bashing the Wii U for not being next gen but that doesn't excuse the way Nintendo just releases an HD upgrade that people had already had with the 360 and PS3 for many years. You now have your answer as to why people aren't buying a Wii U as well as the reason why everyone call Xbox One/PS4 next gen and not the Wii U. Sony and MS vastly uprage their system as well as launch new OS's and new IP's galore at the beginning of every launch window. Nintendo does somewhat the same thing but for the past five years they haven't done as much as Sony/MS have in the industry. Sony/MS paved the way for the Wii U but Nintendo just stuck to 360/PS3 power tech as opposed to leading the industry into the new gen with the best graphics, physics, gameplay, console features, you name it; PS4 and Xbox One will now deliver on what Nintendidnt.
