Well, for starters Sony's conference was not as cringe worthy in the way they presented their product. They actually had real, working games and demos on the system demonstrating potential of the PS4. Not a bunch of willying around with OS, Kinect, TV and other non gaming features. The amount of incomplete, behind the scenes stuff that was shown by EA Sports and Activion (which are in development) speaks volumes in itself.
For me, it felt like Microsoft and their partners were not ready to unveil their "big guns", but they went ahead anyway..
to get as much exposure as they can before the big stage at E3. Ticking off all the relevant boxes the mainstream media would be interested in.
Sony on the other hand had everything planned out and a had clear vision for the PS4. The games.
