Don't you think it's a little early to tell the One is the WORST console you've ever seen? Wait a little longer, see if Microsoft won't convince you.

If they don't, then see if the PS4 will convince you. If it's a good console, I don't see why disliking Sony as a company should prevent you from buying it.

I just will never buy a sony product, nothing can convice me, same with the xbox one. I don't buy products from companies I hate, and there are so many things about the xbox one I hate like must be connected within 24 hours,  weak specs, wortheless dvr like specs and a non focus on gaming; so I won't buy that either.

Go retro. Pick up a CRT TV and play some old games or something, learn to appreciate the classics.

Ebay has em for cheap and not like you're suppoting the companies if you buy them off someone else.

If all else fails you could always try a different hobby.

Retro gaming is a no go, I'm too much of a graphics whore, I literally can not play old gen games for too long as it's hard for me to look at. I tried playing Crimson Skies(my second favorite game of all time) on xbox a few months ago and I could not play it for more than 15 mintues. The last 'retro' game I played and was able to finish was Twilight Princess the gamecube version, but the was emulated and HD.

Now I know I am picky but this is not just some hobby for me, gaming is one of the only things that can keep my interest for more than a few minutes (extreme adult ADD), it's also a form of stress release. Also I am actually going to school right now to become a programmer so I could become a game developer, xbox was actually my goal I planned to finish college, move to washington, start off as an intern, then eventually work my way up into an actual dev position, then become a game designer and create more games that I actually wanted to play. Now I feel like my dreams are dashed; maybe I'll just become an ios developer now, I already know c++ and c#, so objective c won't be too difficult to learn.

Just curious but what don't you like about the other companies?

Sony I don't support on principle. My family used to be sony crazy, stereos tv's alarm clocks, anything sony branded they bought; they were always over priced and cheaply made, I even have a scar on my right hand because one of their old egg shaped stereo controller broke and the metal part stabbed me. I got a ps2 in 2001 but that was cheaply made too, the controller actually broke in my hands while I was playing Tekken, not to mention the disc read errors; when the console died in 03 I called sony and they wanted to charge me over 150 bucks to fix it, so I just saved up and bought an xbox instead.

I'm not into Nintendo or their games, the only reason I was a hardcore nintendo fan in the 90s was because of rare, then when the gamecube came out I just said no and got a ps2, 2 years later I bought an xbox because I found out MS bought rare.
