Go retro. Pick up a CRT TV and play some old games or something, learn to appreciate the classics. Ebay has em for cheap and not like you're suppoting the companies if you buy them off someone else. If all else fails you could always try a different hobby. |
Retro gaming is a no go, I'm too much of a graphics whore, I literally can not play old gen games for too long as it's hard for me to look at. I tried playing Crimson Skies(my second favorite game of all time) on xbox a few months ago and I could not play it for more than 15 mintues. The last 'retro' game I played and was able to finish was Twilight Princess the gamecube version, but the was emulated and HD.
Now I know I am picky but this is not just some hobby for me, gaming is one of the only things that can keep my interest for more than a few minutes (extreme adult ADD), it's also a form of stress release. Also I am actually going to school right now to become a programmer so I could become a game developer, xbox was actually my goal I planned to finish college, move to washington, start off as an intern, then eventually work my way up into an actual dev position, then become a game designer and create more games that I actually wanted to play. Now I feel like my dreams are dashed; maybe I'll just become an ios developer now, I already know c++ and c#, so objective c won't be too difficult to learn.
