In the UK, I would imagine the Xbox One would include a SCART connector as it is mandatory. So, the UK is covered fairly easily.
The Xbox One I'm guessing is intended for HD TVs. So if you're not on 720p or higher, you're gonna have a bad time. There are too many compromises in trying to work with smaller screens, both in in trying to fit content on the screen as well as make text work.
For those thinking the PS4 will be any different, I sincerely doubt it. Sony has FAR more interest in you buying a 3D HD or 4K TV than Microsoft does. There comes a point when you have to let go of ancient technology (i.e. SD TVs) and embrace HD.
