Microsoft seems hell bent on driving me away as a customer this generation, and I have a feeling I'm not alone..

I feel ya mate. I've always been neutral towards Microsoft and never invested into any of their systems. Been Sony+Nintendo since forever, but now that I too am better financially, I've been considering giving MS a shot once I see what their next console looks like (mainly hoping they make Live free), but man all this anti-consumer stuff is making sure I never even consider getting an Microsoft system again. Sonytendo ftw!
