By and large, true gamers at least appreciate games past and current whether it's played on a backwards compatible console, the original console the games were made for, or some other means such as emulation. So wouldn't that imply that those who do appreciate and play older games are also backward and not worth Microsoft's time and resources? What an ass! Yes, Microsoft is a business, but you have to appeal to an audience to make money to gain their business. Obviously, it's an audience further and further away from the core gaming crowd.
