For me indie gaming is just the only way I get to revisit old genres from the 80s and 90s which I still prefer to the main genres now. 2D games especially. The fact that some of these games are now shifting in great numbers proves I'm not alone.
Indie games also get to take a lot more risk meaning originality is higher than a big budget game could risk.
Lately they've been the main type of game I have been playing as the main games just leave me feeling cold.
RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.
