Mainstream Media loves the Xbox One - Are "hardcore" gamers becoming irrelevant?

In the comments section someone brought up it was always online and he wouldnt buy it because of that. He was then collectively bashed with people saying that was ridiculous and in 2013 you should expect things to be connected to the internet. I dont think mainstream mass market gamers will care AT ALL about it being online

Yes, not in America. 

But what about places where internet and stuff is unstable? Just wait until they find out that their used gamestop copy is blocked by a paywall.

A lot of places in America have unstable or unavailable high-speed internet.
