I think the Xbox One can be a very successful financial endeavor for Microsoft. But somehow it still doesn't convert me into a Halo/COD/NFL fan. I also do think it can appease both the hardcore and mainstream, but I don't see it being the primary choice for most hardcore gamers. And no matter how financially successful or popular a console is, it doesn't mean it's for everyone and necessarily better. Having other viable choices is what really matters.
