I'd say that's half fair. Alpha-Male / People with nice living rooms.

That said... that's more or less the market you want to target anyway.

They're a LARGE audience (they make CoD the biggest shooter, propel the sports games to high numbers.)

and they don't really give a shit about console allegiance. They're pure mass is going to effect how the market moves.

I'd argue that's why Microsoft one the USA... AND why Sony won Europe. Fifa & Racing/ NFL & Shooters... are the key to winning the hardware race in Europe and the US.   Which is funny, because a lot of it is multiplatform.   But if all of your friends have FIFA on Playstation... you are buying a Playstation.  To play vs them.   Other games and hype follows from that.

 

Everything else can be done by lesser reveals through the enthusiast media... cause guys like us pay attention to that stuff.
