Sony have the lucky that the industry released the 16Mbits GDDR5 modules to easy increase from 4GB to 8GB without change the initial design/project.

Keep in mind no console design/project receives big changes one year close to release... any change like that need to be done in early 2012 to a late 2013 release. Sony surprised everybody, even Microsoft, just using the new dense modules of GDDR5 released early 2013.

The result is that Sony have the advantage of raw power and simplicity with the same manufacture costs. Now the PS4 looks like a beast compared to the Xbone and Wii U.

Sony put in pratice everything they wanted with PS3 on PS4... that can be a EPIC touchdown.

I'm a PlayStation fan and I can't be more happy from what Sony is delivering for us gamers.
