I bought my last used game back in 2001, I have internet and I have a 360. Sure backward compatibility would have been nice, but not a deal breaker for me. |
Personally, those points don't bother me either. But they'll lose a big part of the market with the mandatory online, imo (not sure if it might happen with the PS4 as well).
How many people bought the 360, the Wii or the PS2 just to have a cheap console around that could be played any time and anywhere without internet connection (just plug into power source and tv and play)?.
I imagine there were a lot. Then again, more and more people have internet connection nowadays, but I still think Microsoft will lose more than they will gain with this move.
