However between the two presentations id have to give the edge to the SONY. I just dont feel that the tech is really pushing the envelope at all. The Graphics, while better dont really seem like a HUGE increase. All in all im completely underwhelmed (esp by microsoft) and i will not be buying any of the consoles. (Atleast until there is a huge Price drop on the Xbox One in which case ill get it just for the Media capabilities or some awesome Must have game comes along). I guess Im gonna be a PC only gamer the next 5 years or so. Does anyone feel the same as me? OR am i just a spoiled hard to please PC gamer? |
I feel just fine about this gen, for the sole reason that there's one console you conveniently (perhaps purposefully, and if so ignorantly), left out. The Wii U.
It will be the weakest hardware again this gen. But the gap won't be as big or as noticable, epsecially because the GPU seems fairly powerful even if the CPU and RAM are lesser. The games, especially from Nintendo (as usual), will likely be fantastic. And the GamePad is arguably, in MY personal opinion at least, the coolest (and most multifunctional) game controller ever designed. The potential is there. The games WILL be there. So I'm just fine.
I love how "it all comes down to Sony or MS", and people ignore Nintendo. But the truth is, as is ALWAYS the case, Nintendo's console will have some of the best (and no doubt best looking, regardless of "hardware desparity") games of the entire generation. So for that, I'm good. I'm set.
I might get a PS4 down the road, when the (most likely) enormous price tag lowers. So long as there is something else I want for it besides (at this point) just The Last Guardian. But the "One"? No thanks. Wii U will provide me with more than enough.
