I wish they would do something like this for the Champions League. Watch the game and see all the information you want on you tablet / smartphone. I actually use an app on my phone to get some statistics while I watch the game, but this is very basic.
I want information about each player (completed passes, distance on the field, ball possession etc). That would be awesome.
If I were an NFL fan, this deal would make me really happy.
And "this money could be spent on games!" is nonsense. There are already more first party games in development than ever before. And where would you want to spend 400 million USD for? on 3rd party games? Make 3rd party games exclusive? That would be quite something for the Sony-Inet-crowd and another reason to hate on MS.
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
