Not sure about that.  Always connected is however false.  It is always kinnected though hence the rumors.  We will need more information on used games and installs for that.  

Well, the only alternative to managing this DRM is to physically activate a key on the disc using a rewritable drive or special system that writes the ownership physically onto the disc.

The natural way would be to have it register online (perhaps in the background process) when you install, where that information is then stored at MS servers, and becomes cross checked against subsequent installs from that disc's serial.


Sounds exactly like steam except you can resell your games so count me very happy about this news.
