Whatever the fee is, it's going to directly devalue used games by that amount. It's taking that fee's value right out of Gamestop's pocket, and used game stores will respond by burying Xbox games in store. Which won't be much work, since trade-in value is going to take a similar hit, so fewer people will even want to trade in.
Since a lot of new game sales are financed through trade-ins, it'll be interesting to see how the changing economics shake out for all parties.
