Something like that could very well mean the games will drop in price much faster (ala Steam), which I am all for. And basically the added fee will mean that used games will be just that much cheaper.

I wonder how Gamestop (or better yet, Gamefly) will respond to this?

 

However, the required linking of the game to your Xbox Live account will definitely be a turn off for those with no access to internet. They might just allow you to go on their site via any connected device such as a computer at the library or your cell phone and activate the game that way and then you would just get a code to enter into your Xbox or something.
