The same games? The SAME games? PlayStation has had many new games out this gen. New worlds, new experiences, new characters, new stories. I'm sure you know the list but the PlayStation consoles have never been "FPS" boxes, or at least the PS3 was not. Nintendo has also had many new IP during the Wii but you cannot honestly talk about PlayStation having the same games with Mario and Zelda still knocking around. Both of those franchises have critically acclaimed games and deserving of every award, but they are as ancient as gaming itself and they are still the most prevalent of the Nintendo franchises. Now you tell me how does a tablet "revolutionize" gaming? I'm all ears, I really wanna hear this one. |
Neither the 360 nor the PS3 were shooter boxes, just because 8 million people only bought FPS shooters, specifically COD on their system does not mean the system was a shooter box. Furthermore, I saw more diversity out of Sony than out of Nintendo this last generation. Pixel Junk Monsters, Flower, Fat Princess, Infamous, Uncharted, Killzone, Resistance, Gran Turismo, Little Big Planet, Demon Souls, Valkyria Chronicles, Dead Nation, Super Star Dust HD, Tokyo Jungle, Unfinished Swan, Sound Shapes, Pixel Junk Eden, Shatter, Sideway New York, Rochard, Guacamelee and a whole lot more. That is some major diversity right there. Xbox Live had a lot of diversity as well but the core titles were too few and far between, while Wii brought be a bunch of fun platformers, a little diversity (Zack and Wiki, Mursama, Zelda) and a ton of wagglefests.
