On the positive end, I really liked the features, such as the multitasking, fantasy sports inclusion, and the Skype implementation. On the negative side, I was a bit disappointed to see so little of the gaming side. I think the Halo television show is great for the fans, but curious to see how it can attract non-Halo fans to the console.
In many ways, Microsoft's reveal was the exact opposite of Sony's. While Sony stressed gaming, Microsoft seemed to stress more on general entertainment. Sony was rather specific regarding the hardware, whereas Microsoft sort of breezed by the technical details. Obviously Microsoft showed the console and Sony didn't, but ironicallly, I feel that I learned more about Sony's actual hardware than I did with the Xbox One. I'm definitely interested to see what these two paths will lead to (Sony's gaming path and Microsoft's entertainment path), and what consumers will prefer.
