Whats funny is how everyone 5 minutes ago was saying 8 GB of GDDR5 on the PS4 is so awesome, etc etc. One rumor of 12 on the Xbox and all of a sudden it's overkill.
This rumor is most likely 90% false, and besides, in a few hours we'll get an official announcement anyways!
Personally, if I were Microsoft I would have done 4-8 Gigs of DDR3 + 2-4 Ggis of GDDR5 (much like a home PC build). DDR3 is very cheap and very fast (cheap being the key word).
