nothing really to be offended by. im not implying that every Wii owner is casual and none of them are core gamers. but the reason why the wii sold so much was because it catered to a new market, the so called "casuals". it expanded the market by offering a product that appeals to another audince, i thought that was very much well known. why people are taking so much offense in this thread is beyond me, its really easy to notice that motion controls are not really well recieved within the core crowd, just look at the games from ubisoft (ac4, watch dogs), rockstar with gta, EA with Mass effect and battlefield and so on, none of these games can be fully played with motion controlls. and none of these companies are making games like these that appeal to the core that use motion controls only, why? its simple, there is no demand, there is no appeal

What exactly do you mean by those games cannot be played with motion controls? Is it the type of games they are or do you mean they are just not implemented in it?
Also I believe your line of thinking when it comes to gaming in general is confused. Game developers, publishers etc are the ones that have to make the appeal to us gamers thereby creating a demand for it. For a small example no one in the eighties demanded a Mario game, it is Nintendo that brought it to public and it appealed to us so we demanded more games, they created the demand. This is the way any good game developer should think, sadly this is not the way the industry is today.
