This will be my thread before I vanish again until I finally can put everything in order within University. I'm seriously missing a lot of things these weeks, but heck, I'm screwed.

So... which games that got deserved hate or bad criticism (Doesn't necessarily mean a 0/10. Less than a 6/10 is a valid example, you see; or just games which got bashed repeatedly because they don't deserve to exist from the very beginning) you do like? We're talking here about the worst of the worst, just plain bad games, horrible whether in its gameplay, in its design or in everything else. And you are not afraid of admitting it, that's the whole point. I know there are bad games and we all like to quote them whenever we're comparing a good one to make it brightier, but seriously, these games got love, too. Don't be afraid. We all have this hidden, deep hole in our gamer's hearts where we stock 'em.

Don't you worry. No one will judge you. If you want to argue why you like it, well, that would be better. But seriously. Don't be afraid.

You don't wanna start? Okay, here I go:

PLAYED

Perhaps the most "average" game in my bad list. This is not a very bad game if you come to it with an open mind. It's actually very fun. Absurd, with a weird and incoherent story, and several gameplay mechanics that just simply doesn't work, but fun. A GTA-wannabe starring Vin Diesel which can be adrenaline-inducing sometimes! What's not to love?

PLAYED AND OWNED

Now, this is probably one of the most laziest ports I've ever seen. This ain't Dead Rising. This is a spin-off of the Xbox360 exclusive that, namely, only shares the story in common. This is oh-yes-Resident Evil 4-Wii edition with a paint cover of Dead Rising. Everything that made Dead Rising great is lost here. Blocked paths (Yes, there were blocked paths in the original Dead Rising. ONE. JUST ONE. AND YOU COULD OPEN IT ANYWAY.), no photography, no jumping-free roaming style. No time limit. No "pick-anything and kill" mechanic which was the bloody fun. No rendered cutscenes. Fuck, what does this have in common? Nothing. This game is based on a time-score gameplay, fundamentally being the same with Resident Evil 4. On a side note, the only thing this game did good was in the extras.

But yes. Even as a die-hard fan of Dead Rising, I could find enjoyement in this horrible cash-grabbing thing Capcom released.

PLAYED AND OWNED.

I know there's people out there that will say "But this time is good!". Let me tell you something. I really love this game. Only because of the atmosphere, the game itself is great, really. And the story was very well-written (although horrible ending). But no. Oh god, no. This game is bad. This game is broken beyond redemption. The mechanics sometimes don't simply...work. And some interesting and clever gameplay elements are just not used here. A wasted oportunity. On a side note, the PS3 port did fix a lot of these problems, so you should look for that version. If you can endure the problems with the 360 version, I'd say go for it.

PLAYED.

Michael-5 is going to kill me for this, I know. =P
