Motion controls will never have the precision and response of analogue controls. Comparing a pointer-style controller to a mouse is silly, too, because a mouse on a desk will always be more precise than a pointer in the air.
Maybe a controller that can accurately respond to eye movement for precision would work. But until then, the answer is no.
