I think it can, but it will be close. The difference is just 86m Last year it outsold Wii's software by ~62m Wii's software is dropping relatively faster. I see it dropping 40-50% this year while 360 software drops 20-30%. So let's say 40m Wii software and 100m 360 software sold this year. That's a difference of 60m or another 43m gone from now to the end of the year, so 43m remain. Wii software will drop to about 10-15m next year while 360 software should drop to ~65m I think. That's a difference of 50-55m which means 360 is suddenly 7-12m ahead. Even if 360 suffers bigger drops than I've estimated here, it will surely happen in 2015.

Well at that rate the PS3 will pass it too eventually assuming both the X360 and PS3 still sells a lot of software once next-gen comes.
@HikenNoAce - No i wasn't

You didn't finish your sentence.
I meant to say no it wasnt. Ive tracked Software sells on this site a few times. PS3 has never been at 700m. Not sure where you came up with that.
From Sony's sales data. Where did you get your info from?
From here. Keep in mind Sony/MSFT/Nintendo only tracks shipped data. They also may be tracking digital as well. VGC tracks sold from retailers.
Then explain why the Wii numbers are so close to the shipped Nintendo numbers for the WiiU? And what's the point if digital isn't counted?
Also, VGChartz has a history of undertracking PS3 games.
