Makes sense for you since GT was at its best when Halo was starting out, and now Halo has exploded in relevance while GT has been hampered by its developers slow release schedule.
It isn't cherry picking if you refer to the current generation only...as that automatically refers to several years and counting. It also is the most current generation, giving a more accurate picture of how the IPS are doing in modern times.
Relying on the crutch that GT was a sales juggernaut in generations gone doesn't change that Halo has sold several millions and brought way more $$$$$ then GT has this generation.
Basically, to truly bring home why your logic doesn't work.......how is GT sales from the 90s and early 2000's relevant to a 2013 Sony? Why would Halo 1 and Halo 2 sales be relevant to MS today? Beyond being a bullet point in their rcords, both companies only care what their IPs are bringing in currently.
