Microsoft has more hit titles to work with than anybody in the industry. Idk why Microsoft doesnt utilize all those great ips more often, instead focusing on there select few big sellers. If they did Microsoft 1st party line up would be comparable to Nintendo and Sony and id be alot more interested in there consoles as I usually play exclusive titles.

I don't think they can find a team that can transition the Rare gems to this gen very well like Killer Instinct.
Concerning 1rst party quality I would go farther to say that MS would have more variety and quality than competition if they capitalize on the mentioned titles.

Ya u could make an argument for any of the big 3. Im personally a big Sony/Nintendo fan, I have nothing against Microsoft it just comes down to exclusive content for me. they would make me a big fan tho if they released those titles while maintaining quality.
