Seriously?? Are we that quick to forget the insane hype before the PS4 announcement? There were hundreds of kaz gifs created for that single conference, for pete's sake. And the gaf thread got over a million views,

Sorry I don't think VGChartz or GAF are good ways to measure how much media buzz the PS4 event recieved. I know it was a good amount of hype that I don't deny, just not as big as some make it out to seem.

Vgchartz and GAF might not be but Youtube kinda is. PS4 video went viral.
Also it was on the mainstream news....
People all over the place were talking about it or atleast aware, im talking about non gamers. The event delivered.
Its died down and i dont know how people actually felt about the console itself...so this isnt a long term thing. But in terms of getting the word out there to just about everybody relevant and making them aware of the PS4, they succeded 100%.
Now the full reveal, release and games need to take it from here.

Like I said it had great hype. I do agree with most here the Next Xbox reveal hasn't generated that much Hype compared to PS4 I'm ready and eager to pre order my PS4.

I think perceived hype will also depend on what region you living in.
US im assuming will have more hype for nextbox....i have no clue what effect the PS4 event had on the US market, but im guessing it was minimal :/
