Apparently we aren't done rubbing the noses of Nintendo fans in this quite yet. The reality is that sometimes two wrongs do indeed make a right. Electronic Arts treating Nintendo owners with the same callous disregard that they themselves were treated to is actually a form of justice. Every supposed crime laid at the feet of Electronic Arts. Was done to them in kind by Nintendo fans this generation, and throughout the last. The specifics of why, or how really are irrelevant. The only thing that matters is as a community they deserve to have this happen to them.

EA released Tiger Woods 08 for Wii, and saw better sales on Wii than on the other platforms, better sales than for any Tiger Woods title since 2004 (Tiger Woods 2005, that is). This was repeated with Tiger Woods 09, and Tiger Woods 10 sold better than Tiger Woods 08. Tiger Woods 11 didn't sell quite as well, but still outsold the 360 version.

Then Tiger Woods 12: The Masters didn't do quite as well, and so EA immediately decided not to release Tiger Woods 13 for the system.

Fifa didn't sell massively on Wii, but it typically sold about a million copies each year. Fifa 12 sold just a little less. Know what EA did? They released Fifa 13... a literal roster update version of the game. To be clear - I don't mean "they failed to introduce anything noteworthy", I mean "they just replaced the roster, replaced the number '12' with '13'", and called it a new game. They didn't even bother to change the background of the title screen.

This is the kind of attitude EA took to the Wii. And it continued with the Wii U, too. Quite simply, it was EA that treated Nintendo owners with callous disregard from the very start. And not a single bit of it can be laid at the feet of Nintendo gamers, it was 100% EA's doing. When things were successful on the Wii, they went out of their way to screw it up. MySims sold really well... so they made a heap of spinoffs that were more and more niche, targeted more heavily towards children who were too young to play them. MySims sold well in 2007. In 2008, they rushed out MySims Kingdoms. Then they rushed out THREE more MySims titles, all spinoffs, in 2009. Total sales across MySims games released in each of the three years stayed about the same, but of course, the 2009 ones split the sales. Then they had another two in 2010, both spinoffs. This is called "milking". We never saw a MySims title that was designed to be an improved sequel to the original.

EA don't deserve sympathy because of some imagined slight by Nintendo gamers. They deserve contempt from all gamers for their attitude, both to Nintendo gamers and all other gamers.
