Do they want the Japanese people to spend more though? There spending more when shrink the size of their debt market... which is the only thing that keeps them from a debt crisis.

Japan in general seems stuck between a rock and a hard place due to it's prolonged slump, aging populace and huge debt burden.

The real solution i would think would be immigration and getting rid of xenophobia.

lol do you have any facts to support that?

The voted for politicians who clearly stated that they are happy that they are not white. Taro Aso is one of those.

Japan is one of the biggest financial time bombs in the world.  30% of the population is older than 65 and is retired...  Every year it will increase with an additional 1% (31%/32%etc;.)...  While more and more youth can't and don't want to take the pressure of it and leave the country...  Few years ago we had this discussion before on vgchartz and people laughed because me or Kowen mentioned that the population in Japan is decreasing but that year it only decreased with 20.000 and that is like nothing...But last year it already decreased wiht almost 300.000 and in the very near future that number can up to more than 1 million a year...or the population will decrease with  1% in the near future..

It needs immigration, a country like Luxembourgh with a population of 500.000 citizens accept more immigrants in its country annualy than Japan... Infact the numbers of immigrants in Japan is decreasing because the biggest (or one of the biggest) immigrants community (Brazilians) are fed up with how they are treated in Japan and go back to Brazil that is doing better and better..

It is crazy to know how many are unemployed in Europe and USA etc and how Japan can easy attract those people to come to work in Japan and so many would love to learn Japanese aswell and its cultures....but Japanese politicans don't want it and would consider it shamefull.
