According to Capcom these are the actual numbers the DMC games have sold:

DMC1: 2,160,000
DMC2: 1,700,000
DMC3: 1,300,000
DMC4: 2,700,000
DmC: 1,100,000
These numbers only include the console versions of those games, they don't cover PC or Steam sales. We're not sure on whether they've also counted PSN or Xbox Live sales with DmC. Capcom also don't report numbers for the DMC3 Special Edition, or the DMC HD collection; its safe to say those games didn't exceed 1 mil units thus they have been omitted from Capcom's 'platinum sales' numbers.
Its likely the numbers on Vgchartz will have to be adjusted to accomdate Capcom's own numbers. This is however bizzare, these numbers date from 31 March 2013; however Capcom have reported as of 2010 that the DMC series has shipped 10 mil copies in total. Its possible they are also reffering to the anime series and PC sales... Either way these are the actual numbers for the games.
