I dunno, the demo will only be available to people who own a 3DS. Surely it wouldn't hurt sales, and could only encourage more, but how many more? I'd love a demo, it could only help. I just doubt it'll happen. I think the only first-party retail game that's gotten a demo so far is Fire Emblem.
