Please help me understand the whole 1080p thing.

1. Can only certain disc formats run 1080p? Such as Blu-ray/HD-DVD(dead) or can other types of dvd run 1080p.

2. If other formats can run 1080p then whats the whole deal with Blu-Ray other than the fact it can hold more memory? or is that really it.

3. So the 360 games are made on Dual Layer DVDs. So those can support 1080p. The 360 can run those but could not run the movies because they are made on HD-DVD. It needed the HD-DVD drive. So then that brings me back to why are HD movies made on those formats and not on Dual Layer DVDs?

1.- You can stored HD media in almost any physical storage (but floppies of course), but the size of the physical media is just not enough to store a full HD movie, you are very limited...

2.- Thats the purpouse of the HD-DVD and the Blu-ray, enough capacity for full HD movie/media...

3.- Again the rendering proccess of a game, is not the same as the rendering proccess of a HD movie... since the HD-DVD is not supported by regulars DVD-Readers, you need an atachtment to watch this movies in the 360...
