Err... again... "Drive club". They already have a GT like game coming for it. Why would they have two competing with each other at launch? This decision is very smart in my opinion.

I agree that they shouldn't have two competing racing games. I just think they should've held out on Drive Club for now and made GT6 for the PS4 for its first year.

GT6 and Drive Club will still likely compete though.

^^ This is the problem with companies not revealing their software plans early. People think you can make a new game within a year. It takes at least 2 years to make a new game (and this is with an established engine and assets already). This decision was made probably earlier than that knowing how long Poliphony digital takes to develop their GT's. You cant just up and say "lets make it for the next console!" and just waste years of work starting over. That is a huge loss for the company wich had basically been paid to do nothing of note for that time. This isnt past gen. Games are more complex and costly to develop for. You cant just swap the platform half way through.

Also, i doubt even Sony internally knew when they  were going to release the platform. Imagine making this decision two years ago. Would you really have agreed to make it for the PS4 when they could just re-use assets from GT5 to make GT6 faster? If we didnt get GT6 now, chances are it wouldnt be ready for another 2 years at least. You know how PD is...
