No, it's not.


It's true.  Most religions, for the most part teach people peace and understanding.  It's people who corrupt their religions in these cases.    Either they decide to take their teachings to far, and commit sins "in the name of god", or they simply didn't follow their teachings in the first place, which in turn, led them to doing these such acts.
