Does anyone remember MS giving out 2 games and a controller to early adopters when they dropped the console price?
Apart from the 3DS Ambassador scheme - that's freaking unheard of. And not digital content - but real "I can touch it" - physical goodies.
I was on the fence about MS up until that point, but that move (my gf at the times brother bought one at launch and got the early adopter/price drop bonuses), and actually playing a MP Halo match - made me go out and buy one. My PS2 got very little love after that.
