OK, so with the game out, despite some bugs (PC version), I have my early impressions and some pics to accompany:

-pics-

I captured pics that not only show the graphical upgrade from 2033, but also stand toe-to-toe with some of my best pics from Crysis 3. So far, they're on an even playing field (with Crysis 3 even having a slight lead - far less bug filled).

As for game-play, it has been GREATLY fine-tuned and feels much tighter. The story is more interesting, the monsters more detailed and varied, and as I said, it's one the best graphical representations of PC power right now. Next gen consoles may get here closer to the 9th gen, but right now, you'd be hard-pressed to find something that looks as good as Last Light, and you certainly won't find one with this amount of jam-packed technical features.

The surrounds are gorgeous, but the characters seem to lack detail. Especially the faces. Having seen the game in motion, is this just an impression created by those screenshots or does this feel also apply while playing the game? The environment seems far mor detailed.
