Smoking is a disgusting habit that kills you and inconveniences everyone around you. The harder they make it for people to get, the better. I seriously chuckle every time I am behind someone in line at a store and they ask for one pack of name brand smokes and it's like $7.50. LOL. Or the sales that people have on packs of cigarettes. "hey only $6 a pack when you buy 5!". I worked at a grocery store when I was 16 and you could buy an entire carton for less than that. I hope these changes have lowered the number of people smoking. |
If people want to make poor choices, we have to let them. It's not up to us to decide what other people should or should not be doing. I am honestly surprised there are so many people that are in favor of banning things. It makes no sense to me. Why do you care so much about someone you've never met? All you're doing is voting to be taxed in order to ban things other people want.
Prostitution? Police shouldn't waste their time (our money) on trying to impede that sort of thing. Same with marijuana and underage drinking and smoking. It's up to parents to be good parents. You can't save everyone, and even if you wanted to, I'd rather you not do it on my dime. People that support banning and controlling everything should pay for their own crusades, and leave the rest of us out of it.
