I don't hate them at all, a lot of my mates like most rap that I hate. I just play them some of my lesser known hip hop and they all ask what it is, just makes me feel great. Same thing with my brother and some of my underground dance tracks. I'm just happy I was blessed with such a broad music taste. And mainstream doesn't always mean bad, although more often then not...
What I HATE though is people that proclaim to hate a whole music genre because of the mainstream. I despise people that make such a damning judgement without being bothered to look into the music, it's so close minded and disgusting to me.
