Sen no Kiseki is also adding in weapon damage types similar to the recent Ys games. Slashing, stabbing, shooting, and crushing damage, and certain mobs are weak to certain attacks (and resist others).
There were some complaints with the newer Legend of Heroes games that physical attack builds were far too weak compared to caster builds. Now there will be an emphasis back on physical attacks with the new weapon damage types and combination abilities between characters.
