Symphonia hasn't been a Nintendo exclusive since 2004. It was released on PS2 in Japan where it sold quite well. This is no surprise.
Like I've said before, every major Tales games releases on PlayStation, it's their main audience in Japan. Whenever it releases on another platform, it always comes back to PS with an "upgraded" version. Symphonia, Graces, Innocence, Hearts, Vesperia. It's all been done.
